International Company Transferees: Renewing L-1 and L-2 Visas

All L-1 and L-2 visas can only be renewed at overseas U.S. embassies or consulates. However, it is necessary to secure approval of an extension of status with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) prior to L visa renewal, except for Blanket L visas, which do not require a USCIS approval notice.
