Athletes and Entertainers: The P-1, P-2, P3 Essential Support Personnel

The Essential Support Personnel for P-1, P-2 and P-3 applicants must prove they are an integral part of the performance of a P-1, P-2 or P-3 person or group because he/she performs support services which cannot be readily performed by an United States worker and which are essential to the successful performance of service in the United States.

The essential Support Personnel must have the appropriate qualifications to perform the services, possess critical knowledge of the specific services and experience in providing such support.

P Essential Support Personnel require a consultation letter from the appropriate labor organization, a statement regarding the person’s prior essentiality, critical skills and experience with the principal P visa holder and a copy of the contract or summary of the oral contract.

P Essential Support Personnel require a separate petition.
