Iris R. Okawa

Iris Okawa, Of Counsel to Valvo & Associates, Inc., is a distinguished attorney and recognized leader in the State of Hawaii. Ms. Okawa’s practice focuses on corporate law, real property transactions, employment law and international transactions. After graduating from law school, Ms. Okawa served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Philip Chun, Administrative Law Judge for the State of Hawaii’s First Circuit Court.

Other positions of note in Ms. Okawa’s dignified career include working with the State of Hawaii’s Attorney General’s office and her Foreign Law Associate Attorney at Kashiwagi & Yamashita, a prestigious law firm in Tokyo, Japan.

Ms. Okawa has served as a Director of numerous civic and community organization including appointment by the Governor of Hawaii to the State of Hawaii Real Estate Commission. She presently serves as Co-Vice Chair of the Honolulu Liquor Commission. Ms. Okawa also teaches at the reputable Japan-America Institute of Management Science (JAIMS).

Ms. Okawa is a member of the State Bar of Hawaii and the American Bar Association.
